Happy New Year

I am not much of a going out kind of girl anymore. I did enough of that when I was younger. Now, I would just as soon stay in with my kids where it is safe. No drunk drivers in the house (I hope)! Although I have seen some houses that has happened to! I'm not saying that I would not enjoy the company of a few friends to talk to and laugh with, but when you have kids its just a little hard to get out of the house. I just wanted to share a few pictures and just things we did from the past year...FYI we were busy so there was always something going on.

Be Still

Yesterday as we were driving down Flint, Blake says to me "Mom, what would you think if decided to go into the military after I get out of school?" Before  I could answer Brock says " Blake, what about pro football? You always say you want to play pro football!" Blake begins to tell us that as he was at D-Now this fall that he was being still and quiet and that he felt like God was talking to him about what he needed to be doing with his life. He really feel like God is telling him that it may not be football. Blake thinks that God is telling him to look in another direction. The military.

I don't think I ever remember God talking to me when I was just a child. Although I know even if he was talking  to me I was ignoring him. I thought I had better ideas that anyone He or anyone else! I know God has plans for Blake. I am so excited that Blake is able to be still and know...

Psalms 46:10 Be still and know I am God. I will be exalted in the nation I will be exalted in the earth.

Sorry! No Christmas Cards!

Our photographer was unable to get to us this year for pictures. I waited too long to do them myself so I guess this will be our Christmas Card for this year. I will try to do better next year!
Merry Christmas!

We pray you will find the true peace!
Gods peace!

My MOM Rocks!

My mom made me some really cute kitchen towels. I asked for some but was not sure what kind she would make me. She decided to go with Great Danes! I'm so glad she did. they are awesome.

My mom is very good at the sewing world. I am afraid I have not had the time to learn how to do any of the thing my mom can do. I hope some day I will be able to learn how to do these things.
This time of year I get to pull out the really great stocking she has made for my family. These are way cute and I love these!

This one is MINE and it is over 30 years old. Would that make it a "VINTAGE"?

What do you think of my vintage ornament wreath?

Thank you to my mom for all the crafty thing you make me!

Busy Daze

Sometimes its so busy its like you are in a daze! All five of the kids preformed in some way within the past week. Brock and Blake had to sing on Sunday morning. Blake was the Nutcracker Prince and Drosselmeyer's Nephew in the Lubbock Ballet's Nutcracker. Ashley, Taylor and Kaylee were the Three Wise men in the Children's Choir Christmas concert. They all had to sing a solo. My parents came up for my Birthday and we went out to eat at my very favorite place..."Double Dave's"! I love the chocolate pizza and the Philly cheese steak Stromboli. mmmmgood! Today Blake played his very first ever basketball game. They got to play in the big gym at LHS so that was kind of neat. They did not win but I guess thats just part of life!

The boys singing with LifeSong.

Ashley wore her hair in a Bow. Thanks to the helpful hints at http://abeautifulmess.typepad.com/

It was fun to get all dressed up for the ballet. I fixed Kaylee's hair like this girl form http://abeautifulmess.typepad.com/
